MY IMAGE OF AMERICA.

America is a really powerful country and a country which makes people dream. As far as I’m concerned, I think this society has assets but also negative aspects.

First of all, I think there are more advantages than drawbacks. America is a wealthy country and we can notice it, thanks to many industries. Music and cinema are the biggest industries in America. There is famous music which comes from America, with famous singers. Eminem is the typical example of success. As the American music is famous, the fashion of American people is well-known all around the world. A lot of the teens of the world love American look and brands as GAP or Levi’s, and this look is shown in all magazines as VOGUE or BE, famous all around the world. Moreover, the cinema industry in America creates films loved by young and old people. Most of the films, or series, that we watch are American as Gossip Girl, Star Wars or Million Dollar Baby.                                                           Moreover than the entertainment industries, America is a political example. It’s the first country with a colored skin president, Barack Obama, and it’s a success since the battle of Martin Lutter King. Then, the USA is a country of patriotism, which has a big national pride with the example of the flag hanging on some houses. So America is a country of fun, fashion and patriotism which makes people dream.

         But, as it’s well-known, nothing is perfect. America knew scary periods in its history, as for example the World Trade Center Attacks, in 2001 and nowadays America still knows terrorism. Moreover, its past is awful because there were slavery, wars and it affected the country and its population. Another thing which affects people in USA is junk food. The rate of obese people in the USA keeps increasing and destroys the health of the young. This is a bad example for other societies. But junk food isn’t the only bad example of this society. In some states, the death penalty and having firearms at home are always allowed. I think that, as it’s concerned the death penalty, it’s sometimes fair but there may be innocent people who are sentenced instead of the guilty ones! Then, I think that to have fire’s arms at home is too dangerous. First, it’s dangerous for the others, if you are unconscious of what you’re doing you could hurt somebody; and indeed, if you have a family, your children can find it and play with it. This is so dangerous. So, America is full of dangers and evil is everywhere.

         As a conclusion, the USA isn’t perfect even if it makes people dream, as everywhere, danger and evil are here and be careful is essential.
